to get our voice heard!

Before you start writing, please read these great guidelines.

HOW TO WRITE TO YOUR LEGISLATORS

Here is a link where you can e-mail all these elected officials directly.

It is a good idea to additionally write a handwritten or typed letter,
as these methods hold more weight.

Next, you can type up a very simple letter expressing your views.
Make copies and have loved ones sign them with their name and address.
Mail them for them!!!!

(Lots of letters get written but never make their way into
stamped envelopes:-)

It is most crucial to write to your local Senator and Assemblyperson.
They need to know your opinions. If you do not know who they are,
call the NY League of Women Voters (212)677-5050 (in the five boroughs)
They will be happy to give you the name and address of those parties representing your district.

Find Senator for my area

Find Assemblyperson for your area

(You can do your research about the people who represent you at
these sites as well)

They represent YOU, make sure they know your views.

Lastly, you should contact the media at the above e-mail link-or you
can try contacting some of the talk shows that are taped in NY,

(eg.Maury Povich or some of the morning shows)

WE NEED POSITIVE ATTENTION!!! BE CREATIVE...Get your voice heard.

LET NYS know that FATHERS MATTER!!!
CHILDREN NEED BOTH THEIR PARENTS!

DO NOT GIVE UP!!! BE PRO ACTIVE!!! WRITE!!!
